Uniting Distant Stars Provides an Affordable, Comprehensive Vocational Training Program

Since Uniting Distant Stars started their quest as a non-profit, we planned to listen to young people and structure our programs around their needs.

Our students enroll with UDS because we provide an affordable and comprehensive option to learn a trade. Many competitors require students to enroll in multiple classes to fulfill their requirements. For example, their catering course is divided into pastries, main courses, and cakes. The students enroll and pay tuition for each class. The high cost of tuition prevents many students from completing the program.

On the other hand, the UDS vocational training program combines individual specialties into one course. For example, our catering course covers pastries, main courses, and cakes during the one-year term. Our students pay a lower tuition and graduate with more competencies in their trade. Some alumni shared in recent interviews the value of having an all-in-one course.

The following courses are all-inclusive:

  1. Catering

  2. Cosmetology

  3. Computers

  4. Electrician

Another value we bring to our student’s training journey is at least 85% hands-on learning. We created learning labs for courses like catering, computers, and cosmetology, and our electrician and event decoration instructors take students on paid contracts to receive real experience. The constant application of skills allows our students to earn money while they learn. Many alumni commented how their practical learning helped them land jobs or become self-employed.
