Empowering Young Women To Install Solar Energy

On Sunday, June 18, 2023, August Appleton, Satellite TV & Solar Installation Instructor in Liberia, shared a post on our alumni and student group a post. He said, “Some students of UDS solar panel and satellite TV class having some practical exercise,” along with photos. In the post's comments, he responded to a reply, “It is nice to see the ladies at the full front doing this.”

Uniting Distant Stars welcomes young women to enroll in our technical courses. Since 2017, we graduated women in auto mechanics, electrician, plumbing, and satellite TV and solar installation (newest) courses. Most of them have found jobs in Liberia and neighboring countries. Why? When hired for a contract, we encourage our instructors to include their students. We aim to provide at least 85% hands-on learning for all students because we want them to succeed.
