A Quick Story On How Solar Power Is Safe & Trustworthy

We need to share a quick story about our solar power. Last week, the transformer across from the center blew out and started a fire. Kelvin Fomba (UDS Co-Founder & Director) and five other community members sprang into action. The transformer’s breaker had a lock, and a locked gate surrounded it. Kelvin and another person gathered tools to break both locks. They pulled the breaker, preventing the fire from spreading to nearby businesses and homes. Unfortunately for the community, they lost power. Fortunately for UDS, we had no distribution because we operate 100% on solar power.
