Empowering Educators: Uniting Distant Stars’ Annual Teacher Workshop

On September 8, 2024, Uniting Distant Stars proudly hosted its annual teacher workshop, marking the seventh year of our academic school. This event brought together preschool to senior high teachers for an enriching day of discussions on classroom management, focusing on the 4Cs—critical thinking, communication, collaboration, and creativity.

Kelvin Fomba, UDS Co-Founder & Director

Each teacher received essential tools for the school year, including an attendance tracking book, lesson plan book, notebook, and copybooks. The workshop’s lessons were aligned with Liberia’s Ministry of Education curriculum, ensuring our educators are well-prepared to deliver high-quality education.

Teachers practiced building their lesson plans. The weekly lesson plans are prepared, reviewed, and approved by the administration, ensuring a consistent and effective learning experience for our students.

Kelvin Fomba, UDS Co-Founder & Director, gave an insightful discussion on the importance of interdependence. Watch the video to hear what they discussed.
