Academic Students With The Highest Test Scores Receive Backpacks

On Monday, December 2, 2024, Uniting Distant Stars Academy Students (first to fifth grades) received backpacks with the highest-ranked test scores. We received over 20 backpacks and our team found an equitable way to distribute them. They used the first-period test scores and ranked the top performers for each grade. The recipients were called to the front and presented their backpacks.

Thank you, Saintanne Tipton, the founder of Lighthouse for Haiti, who donated the backpacks in September! When she received the video and photos, she responded, “This is so nice! Oh my goodness. There are so many children, so sorry that not everyone got a backpack. Can we ship to Liberia?” And our response was yes. We will coordinate with Saintanne in early 2025 to ship more backpacks.
